Thiksey Monastery

The most striking feature of the monastery is its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. It is affiliated to Gelugpa sect and is 12 storey high complex which consists of many contemporary and traditional artifacts as well as relics of Buddhism like Buddha statue, thangkas, stupas, wall paintings, and swords. Lamayuru
